Marissa is the Deputy Director of the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. She holds a B.S. in Sociology, an MBA in Social Impact, and an MA in Sustainable Development.

Marissa is interested in incorporating equity and social justice principles into climate resilience work, from community engagement to grant administration processes. Before joining the MVP program in 2023, Marissa worked at the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) coordinating federal disaster recovery funds, as well as several local non-profits focused on environmental justice work.

Marissa is a hobby enthusiast and enjoys the act of creating, including baking, knitting, sewing, and gardening.
