How are you applying what you learned in the fellowship to your current work?
Well I now get to share and train others on the skills and training I received through the fellowship. Very much a full circle experience for me!

Any advice for others joining the conflict resolution field?
It’s super important to get a s much real but low stakes practice as possible. Coming from a science background originally, I was very used to there being a very strict process and a certain way to do things. But I quickly learned that conflict resolution is not that cut and dry. You’re working with humans who are complex and have a myriad of motivations and needs. So the only way to truly become an expert in this field is to apply learned skills in the real world with real individuals. You’re going to make mistakes, but that’s okay!
